Not surprisingly it has five cases and the purpose of each case is to address specific questions and provide evidence to satisfy the approver or funder.

This illustration is for a typical capital procurement which will result in a supply of a solution by a third party. There may be examples of business cases where procurement is not required. In these cases the Commercial Case may be invalid. However, in the main, every business case must satisfy the approver in each of the five cases – it is not a question of 60% or 80% being a pass.
